CtT: Trumpet on The Border

Come to Texas! (CtT)
1st rough notes

Trumpet on The Border

Now, here’s a character! what shall we call him besides “The Trumpet”?
HOW do we even characterize him? Politician? Evangelist? TRANSformer (from The Dark Side)?

One thing for certain, he’s bat shit crazy.

Come to TEXAS!

COME TO TEXAS!

A tale of REVOLUTION, a tale of going in CIRCLES ….
Each of us are like the core of an atom, the focal point of our circles
It helps to be centered in your core in order to see it
…. a tale of the AGES.

What’s the story, Morning Glory?
(What’s the word? You’re a TURD!)

The oldest story known to man, the Circle of Life. The setting is current-day Texas, the people are real, and all the names have been changed to deliver us not into litigations.

Explain “REVOLUTION”, please.

CIRCLES! Turning; going ‘round and ‘round; what goes around, comes around, Karma (the Bitch!). The Dance. Churn. History repeated, again and again and again.

Explain “CIRCLES”, please.

See Above.

Why “Come to Texas!”?

Come to Texas! was something of a post-Civil War rallying cry created by Anglo “bid’ness”men and other speculators to attract immigrants.
I need to read this book

Ask me, go ahead, ASK ME! about our connections to Bowling for Soup
That could be the theme song for The Movie ???

GOOGLE “Texas rallying cry” and you get this: What Starts Here Changes the World

Is there a rallying cry for the thinkers and doers of tomorrow?
Come to Texas!
What happens here changes the world.

IDK, it’s kinda giving me chills. What do y’all think? I’d love to read your comments!

Papa Francis

From Psychology Today ~
Pope Francis is emerging as a major climate change leader.

SPOILER ALERT: The finished story will not appear in these blog notes.
You STILL will have to buy the book to find out how it ends.

Papa Francis steps up to assume THE leadership role on All Things Climate Change.
Interesting that I should be brought to this story just this morning, as what follows is from my field notes from yesterday.....

The Story is about networks, connections, circles. Some, like the Koch Roach Syndicate, are decidedly Old School, the Dying Breed. Here, too, you will find the Grand Oil Party, the National Regressives Alliance and the Drug Enforcement Agency, National Secuirty Agency along with Homeland Security and last but far from least, People for the Ethical Treatment of Assholes. This is your Graveyard of the Dinosaurs, but some of these Old Guard raptors don't know they're dead...yet.

The Koch Roach Syndicate ~ The One Percent Network

  1. a Good Old Boys gang of carbon-based Powers: Power & Light, Wall Street
  2. Big Banking, Big Pharma, DOW
  3. Right Wing, Conservative
  4. Hell, you KNOW who THEY are!
Wouldn't take much for me to develop a strong dislike for them Koch suckers.
Paul

Some might see KRS as a dragon. I do not. To me it's more dying dinosaur. Once a Dragon? Yes, once upon a time. But no more. It's just a rotting dinosaur.

There ARE other circles, of course. For want of a better term, there is the
The CHURCH Network ~ all colors and flavors of Sky Pilots
  1. The Emerald Cathedral, specializing in superficial puffery to get your money since NOAH!
  2. The Cowboy Church, too big to ignore but not really sure what it is....
  3. Jesus' First Church, or, Jesus First, Church ever since somebody got funky with their marks. This here is my personal favorite: Old Southern Gospel, Black and White; KJV, Community Center and/or Dance Hall, Community Gardens, a hands-on "works" ministry.  The Good Lord he'ps those what he'p themselves, Hunny. Now get off your ass and go weed them beans!'
  4. The Catholic Church ~ All the Gold in Vatacan City is now in the hands of a red hot Daddy, and Papa Francis is his name!

Jesus' First Church, Glen Rose, Texas ~ Questions have been raised about the presence of a pot farm in our community. What can you tell us about this, Brother Paul?

Think little brown church, except the clapboards of this old girl are whitewashed blinding white in the noon day Sun. Jesus’ First Church of Glen Rose, Texas, (established May 1878) sits just right of center as one enters the compound’s front gate, perched on the highest outcrop of million-year-old limestone. Vender stalls--empty and tarp-covered now in the bleak midwinter--line the north-south fence line along either side of the gate. Rows of raised garden beds, also now sleeping, flank the drive all the way up past the church, to the Chow Hall and bunkhouses. Two bunkhouses, to be specific. One for each gender. North of the church are a scattering of sheds. A three-bedroom private residence anchors the south side of The Yard. The residence
and other buildings are open for use by the on-site caretakers, Brother and Sister Hildebrand. He, however, prefers to sleep in the bunkhouse, which is "fine and dandy" with Sister Hildee, as she is known. Hildee is an herbalist.

Good Morning!

This blog is a continuation of 'Bucket List', mainly because we wanted to change the name. We didn't like 'Bucket List'. Rather confuse you now, early on the path, than get totally lost in Forest & Fog later.

For those just joining us, we're persuing the Great American Novel here, employing the seat-of-the-pants approach to creating fabulous fiction. FOLLOW along, if you like. Comment if you feel the need. Just remember, the management reserves the right to put you on IGNORE!
